Mississippi Blood Services
Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) is a not-for-profit blood service founded in 1979, whose mission is to provide a safe and adequate supply of voluntarily donated blood and blood components for patients in hospitals and to offer related services to our hospitals and other medical facilities. They are the only FDA licensed blood center headquartered in Mississippi, created to manage our state's blood supply.

Mississippi Blood Services and Provis have been working partners for quite some time, with Provis developing and maintaining the MSBlood.com website in conjunction with their Communications staff. Given the nature of their business and the communities they serve, it is mission critical that MS Blood has the ability to display shortages and current status of available blood for hospitals and medical facilities as well as communicate that to the general public. Provis was engaged to address this as well as other back-end responsibilities related to the site.
Provis worked with MS Blood's internal IT department to assist in internal server configurations, installations, and functionality that make up the current web site environment. The site was engineered so that all site operation is controllable by MS Blood Services, with training and support provided both initially and on an as-needed basis.
Through hurricanes and pandemics, Mississippi Blood Services has been an invaluable service to the state of Mississippi and Provis is proud to be their partner.
